So, Bettie is post 2 weeks of night float, post night shift and post no sleep. Trevor has been working 12 hour days busting out a new project for work. Hm, how shall we spend our Saturday? its obvious. Why not battle insane New England traffic and drive on out to Cape Cod?
I never said we made wise decisions. Just fun ones.
Finally! ocean!
It was so nice of Provincetown to put up signs everywhere welcoming Trevor and is mountain man beard. So friendly!
Provincetown- definitely smaller than Bettie remembers as a kid. Or maybe is she just that much taller?
this was a Hurricane Hattie? no matter. it was absolutely delicious.
status post lobster rolls.
"you know, we do take tips. hint hint"
yes! Kites!
Trev bought a kite from a company called Skydog Kites, and this kite truly did live up to his name. Bettie also did some flying, but nearly killed a few innocent bystanders, and put down her strings for the time being.
We quickly moved on to checking out more sites, including everyones favorite, self proclaimed "famous fast food" at MOJOS!
Trevor and Bettie continued to explore the sites of P Town. We weren't sure what happens at the Ace House during Showgirls, but it must be good. The buildings all along the main drag (sorry terrible pun) in Provincetown are all so classic and beautiful- cape cod houses, colonials, gingerbread houses, really cool old firehouses and state houses ...
The Bear theme continues! I think it was bear weekend or something. Or maybe just the bear capital of New England.
I think this was in front of Marc Jacobs. All class.
This was one of our favorites, with a bust of Beethoven (I think?) peeking out of the upstairs window for decades if not much much longer.
Another Cape Cod classic shingled, weathered outside with likely a completely designer, fabulous interior.
We rounded out our night on Race Point Beach, literally the end of the Cape. The sunset was just perfect, the weather impeccable, and the view to die for. It would be hard to ask for a better ending to a rough couple of weeks for Bettie and Trevor.
Goodnight!
